You Design the Website.
I’ll make the word part easy.
You’ve Created a Brilliant Website, But…
You’ve built the site. It’s optimised, beautified and ready to roll. There’s just one little problem.
You’re still waiting on the words.
You remind your client that you need their copy.
I’m working on it. It’s almost there. I’m just reviewing it.
For the 100th time.
Then it finally lands in your inbox.
Maybe it’s a load of churned out AI content that could belong to pretty much any business. Or perhaps you open the document and discover mountains of copy that somehow need to squeeze into the three tidy little boxes you’ve carefully designed.
Because here’s the thing. Your client probably has no idea what a wireframe is, let alone how much thought and work went into creating it. They just know they have a LOT to say, and they want to say all of it. On every page.
So now you’re scratching your head, trying to make it fit, or going back and forth asking them to cut, rewrite and rethink their copy.
And while the words might not be your part of the project, they’re still sitting there on your website when it goes out into the world.
You want to be proud of the whole thing.
When you partner with a copywriter, this side of your project becomes easier.
What Changes When We Work Together
A web designer once told me, “That’s an awesome copydeck for me to follow.” And I loved that.
Because that’s exactly how working with me should feel. Easier.
You can get on with designing and building a brilliant website while I take care of the word part. I’ll get what I need from your client, work with the wireframe you’ve created and deliver copy in a format that makes sense when it’s time to build.
No chasing mountains of copy. No trying to squeeze 700 words into a space designed for 70. And no wondering what on earth your client means by “Can we just add this little bit somewhere?”
Copy written to your wireframe
SEO copy that sounds human
I can brief your client directly
Completely remote collaboration
Copydecks that make uploading easier
Less client wrangling for you
Plus
Copy that works with your design, not against it
If you’ve already created the wireframe, send it my way. I’ll write the copy with your layout in mind, so you don’t end up with three paragraphs of waffle trying to squeeze themselves into a space designed for three lines.
And if I think the messaging could work better with a small change to the layout, I’ll pop a suggestion into the copydeck. I’m not here to tell you how to design a website. You know your stuff; I know mine. But when the words and design work together, everybody wins. Especially your client.
I won't make your client do a discovery call twice
Already spent hours getting to know your client and their business? Brilliant. Send me whatever you’ve got, and I’ll start there.
I’ll go through your existing brief first, then fill in the gaps rather than asking your client to answer the same questions again. And if I need to dig a little deeper to uncover the good stuff, I’m happy to chat with them directly.
Because sometimes “we offer great customer service” needs a follow-up question or three before we discover what actually makes them different. That’s the stuff I’m looking for.
How the Copywriting/Web Design Collaboration Works
It’s not complicated! I won’t ask you to sit through endless meetings or make you feel like you’re being interrogated.
I’ll slot in wherever you are in the web design project, whether you’re just getting started or you’ve got a brilliant website designed and ready to rock, but you’re still lacking the words.
You do your thing, I’ll do mine, and together we’ll keep the project on track.
Brief & Dig
Send me whatever you’ve already got. Your client brief, wireframe, existing website copy, SEO research, random notes – I’ll go through it all first and work out what’s missing.
If I need more, I can chat directly with your client and do a little digging. No making them answer the same 27 questions again. I’m just looking for the good stuff that hasn’t made it onto the page yet.
Write & Wrangle
Now you can forget about the words and get on with the design side of things.
I’ll write the copy with your wireframe in front of me and work directly with your client to get everything reviewed, refined and approved. You don’t need to play messenger or get dragged into rounds of copy feedback. I’ll handle all of that.
Deliver & Check
Once the copy is approved, you’ll get the finished copydeck ready to upload, with everything laid out clearly so you know what goes where.
Then it’s back to you to work your magic. Once the copy is sitting pretty on the website, flick me the staging link, and I’ll give everything one last eyeball, as words can look different on a screen than in a copydeck.

Why Partner With Me as Your Copywriter?
Handing your client over to another freelancer takes a bit of trust. You need to know they’ll look after them, do a brilliant job and, ideally, not create another 47 things for you to deal with.
That’s where I come in.
I’ve been writing website copy since 2009 and have written hundreds of website pages along the way. I’ve also worked directly with web designers over the years, so I understand that my job isn’t happening in isolation. The words need to work with the design, the wireframe and the way you run your projects.
I’ve written for businesses of all shapes and sizes, from trades and psychologists to luxury resorts, pet brands, finance and ecommerce. And I certainly don’t need to be an expert in your client’s industry before we start.
I need to know how to ask the right questions, spot the interesting bits and turn what I learn into website copy their customers actually want to read.
I’m also very used to working as part of a bigger team. Alongside A Virtual Copywriting Monstar, I’ve spent many years freelancing with StudioHawk, working from SEO briefs and collaborating on websites across all sorts of industries.
So if you’ve got a wireframe, I’ll work with it. If there’s an SEO strategy, I’ll write to it. And if your client needs a little extra wrangling to get to the good stuff, I’ll handle that too.
You do what you’re brilliant at. I’ll do the same.
And when the website goes live, hopefully we’re both really proud to put our names to it.

That’s an awesome copydeck for me to follow, and the copy looks great. I’m excited about this website!
You and Sylvie are my dream team!
I have another client I’d love your help with.
I have a client who’s struggling with getting her copy together for her website and I need you again.
Questions Web Designers Usually Ask Me
Do you work directly with my client?
Absolutely. If it makes life easier, I’m happy to handle the copy side directly with your client, from filling in any gaps in the brief through to feedback and final approval.
You don’t need to play messenger between us or get dragged into copy revisions. Once everything is approved, I’ll send you the final copydeck ready to build.
What if I've already done a discovery session with my client?
Even better. Send me whatever you’ve already got, and I’ll go through it before I ask your client anything else.
I’m not going to make them repeat the same information just because I have my own process. If there are gaps or I need to dig a little deeper, I’ll only ask for what I actually need.
Can you write to my wireframe?
Yep. In fact, I love having a wireframe to work from because I can write with the design and content hierarchy in mind from the beginning.
If I spot somewhere the messaging might work better with a small layout tweak, I’ll add a note to the copydeck for you to consider. You’re still the designer. I’m not about to start moving buttons around for fun.
Do you consider SEO when writing the copy?
Absolutely. Search has been part of my website copywriting world for years. I’ll research how your client’s customers are searching, look at competitors and search results, and work relevant terms naturally into the copy.
If you’ve already got keyword research or an SEO strategy, even better. Send it my way and I’ll work with it. I’ve spent years freelancing with StudioHawk, so I’m very used to writing from SEO briefs and turning keyword data into copy that still sounds like an actual human wrote it.
And with the way search is changing, I’m not just thinking about a list of keywords. I’m thinking about search intent, useful answers and the different ways people are finding businesses through Google and AI search.
What happens if my client wants changes?
One round of client revisions is included in the package. I handle that process directly with them, so you don’t need to get involved in collecting feedback or managing copy changes.
By the time the copydeck reaches you, the words are approved and ready to go onto the website.
What if the website needs more than five pages?
No problem. The $2,750 + GST package includes up to five standard website pages plus a simple Contact page.
Additional pages or more complex content are quoted separately based on scope, so if you’ve got a bigger site in the works, send me the details and I’ll give you a quote.
Who pays you, me or the client?
Either works.
If you’d like to include copywriting in your overall website package, I can quote you and you can build my fee into your proposal. I’ll invoice you directly, and your client gets one nice, simple website invoice from you.
Or, if you’d rather introduce us and have your client engage me directly, I can quote and invoice them myself.
For new projects and partnerships, I take a 50% deposit before the writing begins.
Do we need lots of meetings?
Nope.
I work completely remotely with web designers and clients across Australia. Most things can be handled by email, with a Zoom call when an actual conversation will make life easier.
I’m not going to put three meetings in your calendar when a two sentence email will do the job.
Do you work fast?
If you’ve got a pressing deadline, let me know.
Generally, it takes a couple of weeks from the briefing stage to the final copy being supplied to you.
Want to Make the Word Part of Websites Easier?
If you’re a web designer looking for a copywriter you can trust with your clients, I’d love to see if we’d work well together.
Whether you’ve got a project sitting there waiting for copy right now, or you’d simply like someone reliable to call when the next one comes along, get in touch.
You bring the design skills. I’ll bring the words. And together, we can create websites we’re both pretty damn proud to put our names to.
